Why do the teachers at my tech school have no personality?
Filed Under Primary & Secondary Education | 3 Comments
boris t asked:
K-12, most of the teachers I had, had personality, with the exception of some teachers. And I know quite a few college teachers and professors, and they have personality. But the teachers, at least most of them have little to no personality.
Are most tech schools like this? And is there a logical explaination?

Effective Music Teachers Resources And Tips: Students’ Feedback
Filed Under Blouses | Comments Off
Music Teacher asked:
Primarily, a music teacher’s task lies in the idea of effective and creative communication. Thus, credibility and reliability have always been an issue to academic institutions, their teaching and non-teaching personnel and even the student body.
Music teachers simultaneously motivate, inspire, and support their students through innovative music teachers resources. Whether these resources and tips are from the experiences of other teaching individuals, educators, academes or from the internet, what important is you are able to meet your goals and stay committed to your purpose.
When you make use of effective music teachers resources and tips, you are more likely to gain the interests of your students – encouraging them to love music more. As you become good influences and examples to them, they not just tend to love music as one of their subjects but they also have come to love you as their mentors and icons.
I have here a list of different feedbacks, compliments and even suggestions of the students when a group of music educators have rendered effective music teaching strategies and have executed creative activities.
• The students are able to cultivate their interest in music and realize their potentials through unique and creative activities regarding their music class and its programs.
• Such music teachers resources allow them to learn about other aspects of music which are not covered in a specific course outline, syllabus or private music lessons.
• Music teachers are able to encourage and give them such opportunity and exposure that they truly need to create and perform music creatively and independently yet effectively and promptly.
• Students are able to learn music as well as the significance of academic freedom and independence. Thus, cooperative learning has played a vital role in this manner since they are tasked to work collaboratively with their co-students and meet a common set of objectives.
• Creative activities, which seem unusual and innovative, have brought up fun and excitement among students – making them more interested, hooked and eager to learn new things and eventually apply them in real life.
• The enhanced program for music teaching has been remarked by the students as a way to boost self-confidence, establish camaraderie among classmates, and experience the fun of learning music – all at the same time.
• Such exposure to music technology and other relevant innovations have showcased more talents and have brought out the best in most of the students.
It really pays to regenerate more teaching resources and strategies that are more appealing to the kind of students we have in today’s generation. Maximizing resources and efforts, music teachers would then realize that music education could be the most rewarding experience.

Teacher Salary - Why We Should Complain
Filed Under Musical Games | Comments Off
Tania Mesar asked:
As teachers we have Christmas Vacation, Spring break and two months off in the sumer, benefits and a pension plan that makes people want to get into teaching, even if they **** children. So why do we complain about our teacher salary?
The teacher salary is a set grid that increases incrementally from one year to the next. A teacher reaches their top salary level after being in the profession for approximately ten years. This amount is more than double what a new teacher makes in the same profession.
A new teacher gets paid less then half the salary as someone who has hit their top pay. The issue is that new teachers often do much more work making lesson plans, coaching and running clubs than the majority of older teachers. Also, what is the incentive, other than the love of children, to improve our teaching practice from one year to the next if we are paid the same amount?
This is why you often see many older teachers that continue to use the same lesson plans they had when they started their teaching practice. In human nature it is common to chose the path of least resistance, so many teachers no not revamp their lessons to make them better, when they already have a stash of old handouts in their files. Their teacher salary will be the same whether they are creating new and innovative lesson plans that engage their students, or if they use dated materials.
Another problem with having a teacher salary solely based on pay grid is that once teachers reach the top of their salary level, they tend to cling to their teaching jobs until retirement so they can access their teacher pension. When teachers wait for their retirement date, it often leaves them bitter and jaded about their teaching day, rather than enjoying the process.
When you have an environment where people are given the tools to grow and work at their best, 10 people can work as if they were a team of 15 or 20, so there should be incentives in the teacher salary to encourage teachers to put forward their best practice so we can improve the overall effectiveness of our schools.
If the teacher salary was not solely based on the pay grid, rather they were rewarded upon performance, teachers could gain a grater feeling of empowerment from doing their jobs, which could translate into more effective teaching.
It is so important as a teacher to build a second stream of income so that we do not stay in the teaching profession because making money in other ways is out of our comfort zone. Let’s learn these skills, so we can get ahead. This will not be helpful to the teacher of to their students. With so many opportunities online to make money, additional to our salary, using the skills we have as teachers, there is no reason for us to stay in our teaching jobs if we don’t absolutely love it.
Do not forget to check out the link in the resource box below. I’ve got a great free report that details my experiences so you can learn from them.

Teacher Education

Groshan Fabiola asked:
Teacher education is a wonderful tool for teachers to understand the right way to teach the youth and adults of the world who are attempting to make changes in our society based on knowledge. Teacher education refers to the policies and procedures designed to equip teachers with the knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and skills they require to perform their tasks effectively in the school and classroom.
The question of what knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and skills teachers should possess is the subject of much debate in many cultures. This is understandable, because teachers are entrusted with the transmission to children of society’s beliefs, attitudes and deontology, as well as of information, advice and wisdom.
Generally, Teacher Education curricula can be broken down into these blocks: knowledge and skills about teaching and learning, knowledge and skills concerned with the subject taught and knowledge about teachers’ deontology
Teacher education is divided into initial teacher training or education, which is a pre-service course before entering the classroom as a fully responsible teacher. Another category is induction, which is the process of providing training and support during the first few years of teaching or the first year in a particular school. Lastly, teacher development or continuing professional development (CPD) is an in-service process for practicing teachers.
Initial teacher education is organized according to two basic models. One is called the constructive model. In the consecutive model, a teacher first obtains a qualification (often a first university degree), and then studies for a further period to gain an additional qualification in teaching. In certain systems, this takes the form of a post-graduate degree, possibly even a Masters. The alternative is where a student simultaneously studies both an academic subject and the ways of teaching that subject, leading to a qualification as a teacher of that subject.
There are other options available as well. For instance, in some countries, it is possible for a person to receive training as a teacher under the responsibility of an accredited experienced practitioner in a school.
