I’m having a presentation in class next week and my teacher told us to dress appropriately for the occasion. Does he mean to dress more formally? If so, does he mean semi formal or something more casual (but still somewhat formal), like skirts?
Oh…sorry. I haven’t gotten the semi formal, formal, etc definitions straight in my mind yet. I wasn’t planning on wearing anything short or revealing. I was just wondering what I should wear.

I need to have a 90 average to prevent getting in trouble from my parents and to stay in the AP program. My scores for math are: 76, 90, 90, 90, 76
I really would like some extra credit to help improve something from those scores. How can I convince a math teacher to give me extra credit? What are some ideas I can suggest to the teacher that I can do in return for extra credit? Thanks.

My parents will freak if I get a B in math! They probably will be dissapointed with an A. Sure I already know they expect too much and no body’s perfect. So no need to tell me that. I’d like some feedback from teachers and other adults as well on what is a good way to ask for extra credit. My math teacher is a little intimidating and she means what she says and says what she means, but none the less she is a great teacher as far as teachers go.

In my country there a teachers who graduated with a diploma from teachers’ training colleges and those who graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree. The latter’s pay is higher than the former. There has been a debate on teachers’ salary since we think it is too low. Some members of the public do not respect our job mostly because we don’t earn that much. I quote a student back in the late 90’s..”I don’t want to be a teacher because teachers have to do such a tedious job and yet get very little pay” I forgave her.She was only 13.

Like in elementary school, how did my teachers know what teacher to give me the next year? In JH and HS how do my teachers know who to put me with? Is it just random or alphabetical or what?

I’ll be in an Algebra class (I’m already bad at math) where the teacher is known for having over half her class fail. It’s not that she’s mean, she just can’t teach.

Even the other Algebra teachers will tutor you if they know you have her as a teacher. What can I list as a reason for switching teachers? They might think I just want to get in a class with my friends.
I’m in high school–I’ll be a junior this year.
